An indicator of whether blocked route units or Special District units are to be credited to RURAL PRACTICE PAYMENT units as part of a rural practice payment claim.
Blocked route units may be credited if the normal route from the GENERAL MEDICAL PRACTITIONER PRACTICE main surgery to the PERSON's residence, irrespective of distance, is regularly liable at certain seasons of the year to be blocked owing to flooding or other severe weather conditions.
Special District units may be credited for each PERSON who is resident, or the place visited is, in a district which, has been designated as a Special District by the Secretary of State. These are areas where climatic and geographical conditions are such as to give rise not only to difficulties of access but also to exceptional difficulties of travelling by road.
