A classification of the working and payment arrangements of a full-time MEDICAL AND DENTAL POST for doctors in training, ie Pre-Registration House Officer, Senior House Officer, Registrar, Specialist Registrar, and Senior Registrar posts.
A full shift working arrangement is one under which practitioners, contracted in terms of basic hours, work a shift on a regular basis rotating round the shift pattern.
A partial shift working arrangement involves practitioners, contracted in terms of basic hours, principally working normal weekdays but they in terms intervals work a different duty, for example, a week on nights every fourth week.
An on-call rota working arrangement is where practitioners, contracted in terms of basic hours or UMTs, work a normal day Monday to Friday and are on-call in rotation for the remainder of the 24 hour period and for weekends.
