A measure of the presence and severity of co-morbid conditions by use of a co-morbidity index.
Co-morbidity is a disease or illness affecting a patient in addition to but not as a result of their current condition. Co-morbidity for cancer should be recorded at the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meeting prior to the beginning of treatment.
A different coding system will be used for children.
