1. This diagram shows the classes relevant to pathology services.

2. A HEALTH CARE PROVIDER may have a number of PATHOLOGY DEPARTMENTS each managed by a CONSULTANT including a scientist of equivalent standing to a medical consultant.

3. Each PATHOLOGY DEPARTMENT is a type of SERVICE POINT but there may be other SERVICE POINTS identified in the organisation structure of the department for laboratories and sections of laboratories.

4. A POST MORTEM may be performed in a histopathology laboratory.
