The classification of distance units claimed for rural practice payments. The distance is based upon outward journey only to the residence, or place of visit, of a PERSON and must be more than 3 miles distant from the GENERAL MEDICAL PRACTITIONER PRACTICE main surgery by the normal route.

Classification:

a.	For at least 3 miles but less than 4 miles
b.	For at least 4 miles but less than 5 miles
c.	For at least 5 miles but less than 6 miles
d.	For at least 6 miles but less than 7 miles
e.	For at least 7 miles but less than 8 miles
f.	For at least 8 miles or over
