An indication of whether an AMBULANCE SERVICE is in an Urban or Rural environment. This is calculated on the basis of population density in the area served by the AMBULANCE SERVICE. An AMBULANCE SERVICE is considered 'Urban' if its population density was over 2.5 per acre in 1991 and 'Rural' if under 2.5 per acre in 1991.
