A type of GMP CONTRACT.

A contract between a PRIMARY CARE TRUST and a GENERAL MEDICAL PRACTITIONER. In the contract the GENERAL MEDICAL PRACTITIONER agrees to fulfil the duties of the holder of a GENERAL MEDICAL SERVICES CONTRACT who is temporarily absent.

The contract is made in the expectation that the other GENERAL MEDICAL PRACTITIONER will return and resume tenure of his or her post.
