A period of time during a HOSPITAL PROVIDER SPELL that a neonate is identified as receiving a particular level of care classified by the list in NEONATAL LEVEL OF CARE. Note that it is agreed nationally that the level of care should be recorded daily, as a minimum, but locally it may be desirable that it is recorded more frequently showing the time as well as date.
