VACCINATION SERVICE

A type of ITEM OF SERVICE DELIVERY.

A vaccination or immunisation given to a PERSON in accordance with public policy by or on behalf of a GENERAL MEDICAL PRACTITIONER, for which a fee may be claimed.

The applicable payment rate for the VACCINATION SERVICE delivered is determined by the combination of IMMUNISATION DISEASE and IMMUNISATION COURSE TYPE.

Note that ITEMS OF SERVICE DELIVERY reimbursement cannot be claimed by those GENERAL MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS who hold a Personal Medical Services, as opposed to a General Medical Services, contract.
