Subject:	Discontinuation of KT23, 26, 27 & 29 Central Returns
Type of Change:	Removal of discontinued central returns from the NHS Data Dictionary.
Effective Date:	1 April 2005
Reason for Change:	To update the NHS Data Dictionary with the discontinuation of Allied Health Professional central returns.

Background:

ROCR approval has been given for the discontinuation of the following central returns:

• KT23 Summary of Chiropody Services


• KT26 Summary of Occupational Therapy Services


• KT27 Summary of Physiotherapy Services


• KT29 Summary of Speech Therapy Services

It should be noted that similar information, often derived from the same data collection systems, was and would continue to be collected by the Department of Health's reference costing team.

The four returns are discontinued with effect from 1 April 2005. Data collection from foundation trusts for the year 2004-05 was optional. This DSCN has removed the central return diagrams from the NHS Data Dictionary.
