Classification:

a.	A UK - or EC - born doctor or an overseas doctor with the right to stay and work in the UK permanently.
b.	An overseas-born doctor without the right to stay and work in the UK permanently ('visiting' Senior Registrar, Specialist Registrar, Registrar or SHO) - eg a practitioner who arrived in the UK after 1 April 1985 and who is entitled to stay in the UK 'permit free' for up to four years postgraduate training.
