A type of PERSON GMP ASSOCIATION

An agreement between a PATIENT and a GENERAL MEDICAL PRACTITIONER whereby the PATIENT will receive immediately necessary treatment. The GENERAL MEDICAL PRACTITIONER may have refused to accept the PATIENT for inclusion on their permanent list or as a TEMPORARY RESIDENT, or the consent of the Secretary of State for the assignment of the PATIENT to the GENERAL MEDICAL PRACTITIONER is being sought.

Note that IMMEDIATELY NECESSARY TREATMENTS reimbursement cannot be claimed by those GENERAL MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS who hold a Personal Medical Services, as opposed to a General Medical Services, contract.
